The Children’s Table at UT Gardens

Bruce Bennett’s contributions to the UT Gardens are numerous, but his Children’s Table is among the most visited in the botanical park. The Children’s Table, installed in 2006, is a place for youngsters to explore and create when they visit the sprawling 42-acre nature preserve, located along Neyland Drive and the Tennessee River. Created from stacked Tennessee Limestone, the table features raised-relief depictions of the seven sacred trees of the Cherokee on its surface.
